I have two interviews for PhD programs here in Jena!
This morning I got an email from the group who gave me a phone interview before we left Winston-Salem. I had received an email from them last week stating I was not short listed and therefore was no longer considered for the program. Today, the email sang a different song. They found out that I am in Jena now (from the other PhD group I'm applying with) and would be happy for me to continue with the interview process (I wasn't short listed b/c they ran out of funding for overseas candidates). Since I'm no longer an overseas candidate, they'd be happy to have me interview. So, I have an interview with this group on Sept 14-16 and the other group Sept 17-18. I've got a busy week coming up! At least I'll be able to use the same presenation at both interviews... :)

That is truly wonderful! By the time January gets here you will be ready for a little work! At least you don't have to think about getting a job outside the university! Congrats!
