26 June 2009

wow.

I did it. The thing I've been fearing for the last five years is finally over. I defended my Master's thesis. Holy cow. I'd love to say this means I'm done, but I have tons of corrections and very little time. I have to have all of them done before my adviser leaves work on Thursday afternoon, and I work another job full time that I have NO vacation left for, and I'm spending this weekend in Charlotte at my cousin's wedding. Yikes. What is it about June that makes people think they should get married? It's hot and yuck for crying out loud!

Anyway, after these last few crazy months, I'm very much going to enjoy sitting around doing nothing once we get to Jena. Granted, I'll need to be on the lookout for an apartment (keep your fingers crossed for furnished) and enrolling in German classes, but it's not looking like I will easily find a job. But that doesn't mean I'm not trying to find one.
